The short version
No ads, no tracking cookies, no selling or sharing data. We keep as little as the site needs to work, and you can ask us to delete anything tied to you.
What we store
- Your email, only if you sign up for the soundtrack release note. We use it to send that news and nothing else. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to remove it at any time.
- Topic ideas you type in. They are reviewed before they appear publicly. Please don't include personal details.
- Votes: your browser makes a random ID so you can vote once per topic. We store only a one-way hash of it, which can't be turned back into the ID.
- Button taps: daily totals such as "YouTube button, 52 taps". Nothing about who tapped.
- Abuse limits: to stop spam, we keep a salted one-way hash of your IP address for up to one hour. The IP address itself is never stored.
On your device
The site saves your random voter ID and the topics you voted on in your browser's local storage, so the vote buttons remember you. Clearing site data removes them. No cookies are set.
Who handles it
The site and its database run on Cloudflare (Pages and D1), which may process requests in data centers around the world. Audio and video play from this site directly, with no third-party players or trackers. Links to YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Spotify or Apple Music take you to those services, and their own privacy policies apply there.
Why we're allowed to
Emails: your consent when you sign up, which you can withdraw at any time. Votes, ideas and abuse limits: our legitimate interest in running a fair, spam-free page.
How long
Emails: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, or until the release list is no longer needed. Abuse-limit hashes: about an hour. Vote hashes and tap totals: as long as the ballot runs.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to its use. Email [email protected] and we'll reply within 30 days. If you're in the EU, UK or another region with a data-protection authority, you can also complain to that authority.
Kids
The email sign-up isn't meant for anyone under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). If you're younger, please don't sign up. Watching, listening and voting don't need any personal details.
